  • You avoid waiting in line and can go straight to the lifts.
  • You can refill your old keycard online before arrival.
  • If you don't have a keycard, you can order one online and pick it up on arrival at "Velkomstsenter".

Remember:

  • Make sure to select the correct date and age for the passes, and that the passes are assigned to the correct user.
  • The age categories for ski passes at Hovden Alpine Center are 0-6 years, 7-15 years, 16-64 years, and 65+.
  • Please note that all ski passes are personal and cannot be transferred to others. Checks will be conducted regularly throughout the season.

Companion

Hovden Alpine Centre Welcomes You with a Companion Need

  • If you have a valid companion card, it entitles your companion to a free lift pass.
  • Only day passes are issued to companions, not multi-day passes.
  • Both you and your companion must have a keycard. If you don’t have one, it can be purchased when collecting the lift pass.

Lift passes are collected at the Welcome Centre. Both you and your companion must be present when picking up the lift pass, and remember to show a valid companion card.

Tussebånd – Free to Use

The Perfect Place to Start When You’re New to Skiing

  • If this is your first time skiing and using the ski lift, we recommend starting at Tussebånd in Tusseland.
  • Tussebånd is free to use.
  • As in the rest of the facility, helmets are mandatory at Tussebånd.
  • Sledding is allowed on the right side of Tussebånd (when viewed from below).
Point card

Perfect for a few Rides

  • Point cards can be purchased at the Welcome Centre.
  • You need a keycard to load the point card. (Price for a keycard: NOK 75)
  • Points are sold in sets of 4.
  • You can buy a minimum of 4 points and a maximum of 60 points. (Price per 4 points: NOK 135)
  • The price per point is the same regardless of the total number purchased.

Each lift uses a different number of points per ride:

  • Hovden Expressen and Breive Expressen: 4 points

  • T-Lift and Skogstrekket: 3 points

  • Tussetrekket: 2 points

  • Tussebånd: Free

Cross-country skiing at mt. Storenos

Take the chairlift to access beautiful cross-country trails at the top of mt. Storenos.

If you do not have a season pass/Gold annual pass, you must purchase a lift pass.

  • A point card is the most economical option if you only need a single lift ride.
  • It takes 4 points per person to use the lift.
  • You also need a keycard to load with points. If you are in a group, you can share one keycard loaded with the required number of points.
  • Point cards cannot be purchased online, only at the Welcome Centre.
Midweek discount for students

Show your student ID to receive a 30% discount during weeks 2–6 on the following lift passes:

  • 2-day pass (midweek)
  • 3-day pass (midweek)
  • 4-day pass (midweek)

Important Information

  • The offer is valid Monday to Thursday during weeks 2–6.

  • Purchases must be made in person at the Welcome Centre.

  • You must show a valid student ID to receive the discount.

  • Bring your keycard if you already have one to avoid purchasing a new one.

Keycard information

All visitors must have a keycard. Hovden Alpine Centre uses keycards to ensure the best possible flow through the gates to our lifts and tows.
Every guest, regardless of age, must have their own personal keycard.

How to activate your keycard?

  • If you already have a keycard, you can activate it online via our website and head straight to the slopes upon arrival.
  • If you don’t have a keycard, you can add one to your online order and pick it up pre-activated at the Welcome Centre upon arrival.
  • A new keycard costs NOK 75.

Returning used keycard

You can get a refund of NOK 35 for returning a used keycard at the Welcome Centre, provided that:

  • The card is intact.
  • The card is from the current year’s stock.
  • The card is one used at our facility.

Practical information for use

  • Place the keycard on the left side of your jacket or pants.
  • Never store the keycard in the same pocket as other cards, mobile phones, or additional keycards.
  • Your lift pass is personal, except for point cards, which can be shared among multiple people.
