Hovden Alpinsenter
Hovden Alpine Center is located at the top of Setesdal and is one of Norway's largest and most snow-secure ski resorts. The lifts take you up to the mountain peaks of Hovdenut and Storenos, the latter standing over 1,200 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll enjoy magical views that will undoubtedly give you the feeling of being in the Alps.
Hovden Alpine Center is the largest ski resort in Southern Norway, featuring a total of 33 slopes, 2 chairlifts, 5 ski tows, and 1 conveyor lift across three areas. The total slope length is 42.5 km, with a maximum vertical drop of 420 meters. The resort also boasts two terrain parks and a ski-cross course. With a lift capacity of over 9,000 people per hour, you’ll always find a lift or tow without a queue, even on busy weekends. The slope network spans three ski areas: Breivesiden and the areas around the peaks of Hovdenut and Storenos.
At the base of Breive, you’ll find an unmanned warm cabin with toilets, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and your packed lunch. From mid-February until the end of the season, a communal fire pit is set up for everyone to use.
